Oloye ‘Aare’ Oyedijo JP has called on all stakeholders, political actors, and well-meaning citizens of Oyo State to desist from actions capable of destabilizing and distracting the current administration.
In a statement released today, Oyedijo emphasized the need for collective responsibility in sustaining peace, stability, and progress across the state. He noted that governance thrives best in an atmosphere of cooperation, mutual respect, and constructive engagement, rather than unnecessary tension and political distractions.
He specifically urged leaders across party lines, community influencers, youth groups, and civil society organizations to prioritize the overall development of Oyo State above personal or partisan interests. According to him, the state stands to gain more when energies are channeled toward supporting policies and initiatives that improve the lives of the people.
Oloye Oyedijo also expressed strong support for the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, commending his leadership style and commitment to legislative excellence. He encouraged him to remain focused and steadfast in the discharge of his duties, assuring him of the goodwill and backing of peace-loving citizens.
“Distraction at this critical time will only slow down the pace of development our people earnestly desire.
What Oyo State needs now is unity of purpose, not division,” he stated.
He further called on all concerned parties to embrace dialogue, uphold democratic values, and work collaboratively with the government to ensure sustained growth and stability in the state.
