Ibadan Less City’s Turn: A Call for Fair Governorship Consideration – Oloye ‘Aare’ Oyedijo

Chief ‘Aare’ Oluwasegun Oyewole Oyedijo

In the democratic spirit of fairness, equity, and balanced representation, the time has come to the spotlight Ibadan Less City in the political leadership of Oyo State. For far too long, the governance of our dear state has rotated within a narrow political circle, often overlooking the aspirations and capacities of our zone.

According to High Chief ‘Aare’ Oluwasegun Olalekan Oyewole Oyedijo Ibadan Less City, home to a significant population, rich culture, and notable contributions to the socio-economic fabric of Oyo State, has continually demonstrated loyalty, political participation, and development potential. Despite this, the zone has remained underrepresented in the highest of state leadership — the governorship.

It is no longer tenable to sideline zone that contribute immensely to the growth and unity of Oyo State.

Equity demands a fair chance for all zones to take part in governance, and Ibadan Less City stands ready with competent, visionary leaders capable of driving progressive agendas and inclusive growth.

We call upon political stakeholders, party leaders, and influential decision-makers to consider the strategic importance of inclusive representation. Let the 2027 governorship race mark a turning point — one where fairness overrides favoritism, and merit joins hands with regional balance.

This is not just a political request; it is a call for justice, unity, and progress. The people of Ibadan Less City are ready. Now, we seek a listening ear and a willing heart from those in power.

It’s our turn. Ibadan Less City deserves the centre seat at the table.

Don’t marginalise Ibadan Less City – Oyo State Governor in 2027- Awa Lo Kan: Says Oloye Oyedijo

When we fully understand the brevity of life, its fleeting joys and unavoidable pains, when we accept the facts that all men and women are approaching an inevitable doom, the consciousness of it should make us more kind and considerate of each other

We cannot count the blessings of Oyo State without mentioning the contributions of Ibadan Less City and we cannot claim to be one without giving mutual respect in a viable relationship

Let the record be straight that Ibadan Less City is a beautiful bride for anyone considering winning the Gubernatorial election in Oyo State, such should not be marginalized and trivialised

According to: Chief  ‘Aare’ Oluwasegun Olalekan Oyewole Oyedijo, If Ibadan municipal and Ogbomosho could produce full term Governor – Ibadan Less City deserved such respect as well

We have always been supportive and instrumental to everything good in the state and if indeed Oyo State and our party (People’s Democratic Party) will grow, we most certainly respect eachother

Oloye Oyedijo appealed to Governor Makinde and other PDP Stakeholders to concede Gubernatorial ticket to Ibadan Less City

Official Seal of The High Chief ‘Aare’ Oluwasegun Olalekan Oyewole Oyedijo

In build up for the 2023 general election a group led by High Chief ‘Aare’ Oluwasegun Olalekan Oyewole Oyedijo have appeal to the good Governor of Oyo State ( Governor Abiodun Seyi Makinde FNSE) and other amazing stakeholders in the party to please concede the party’s Gubernatorial ticket to Ibadan Less City

Our energy and our spirit are important to consider,

Our productivity, Our tenacity, Our values , Our results,  our supports and contributions should be given consideration

Oloye Oyedijo pointed out that the request is in the best interests of the party in the state for adequate equity and adequacy

Ibadan municipal have had enough turn of occupying; The Agodi House and for fairness and equity it’s necessary to consider Ibadan Less City now, considering the area has never been a four (4) years Governor of the state ( Only Late Chief Kolapo Ishola spent some months)

Considering the numbers of votes coming from the zone and the figures of revenues from the zone, it is necessary to avail such people the opportunity of Governing the state

It is necessary now because, the 2027 election will be a technical one, our electoral education has grown more than what it’s used to be and creating a viable sense of belonging for people of good contribution is what strengthens a collaborative relationship

We are peace and loving people with good numbers of valuable candidates that can sustain the amazing momentum of developments which Engr Seyi Makinde FNSE is setting in the state and the country at large

Chief ‘Aare’ Oyedijo hereby humbly prays to God, good Governor Abiodun Seyi Makinde FNSE and other relevant stakeholders in the party to concede the state gubernatorial tickets to the zone (Ibadan Less City)

Egbeda Local Government should produce the next Oyo State Governor under a good zoning system – Oloye Oyedijo

Official Seal Of High Chief ‘Aare’ Oluwasegun Oyewole Oyedijo

In recent development: where people are juggling to be the next occupant of Oyo State Government house in Agodi

It is good to note that there’s no Local Government that’s more qualified than Egbeda Local Government by calculation and appreciation of our contributions to electoral success in Oyo State which is identifiable in the last gubernatorial election among others

Our patriotism is second to noon- which is also clear in the manners of our deliveries to the party of our choice without money politics

Oloye-Dijo: Omo Oloore

Speaking to the audience at his recently launched political mentorship program: Chief ‘Aare’ Olalekan Oluwasegun Oyewole Oyedijo called for putting Oyo State political record straight – He acknowledged the amazing voting strength of Ibadan-Land in the making of Oyo State Governor

According to him; The major Local Governments in Ibadan had enjoyed their own shares of presenting the Oyo State Governorship candidate in regards to voting strength which is unfortunate that the only Governor from Ibadan-Less City didn’t even complete his term ( Late Chief. Kolapo Ishola)

Chief Aare Oyedijo here states: Egbeda Local Government is now a bride and presently a stakeholder in voting strength of Oyo State,  stating the local government had more votes than many municipal local governments not to talk of those outside IbadanLand which necessitate the importance of having next Governor from Ibadan-Less City and Egbeda Local Government precisely under a good zoning system
