Oloye Oyedijo (The Consultant on National Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy Development) sends his condolences to the Oyo State Government, the families of the victims and others concerned

He also called on relevant offices to take this opportunity and give Oyo State a Safeguarding and Protection Policy to avoid subsequent like-issue
Adequate Safeguarding and Protection Policy is Prevention procedures which would have covered, Risk Assessment, Venue Security, Adequate Supervision, First Aid measure and Emergency Procedure

We all share the grief and pain of the directly affected families and We pray that God grants them fortitude to bear the loss
It’s good to appreciate the holistic charity intention and genuine heart of the organisers and condemned extreme greed mindset of beneficiaries
It is in the best interest of our state to immediately put Safeguarding and Protection Policy in place like other states in the country to prevent such incidents in the future, urging stricter adherence to safety standards and child welfare policies among others
